Chocolate Whiskey Cake

A full cup o' joe and a hearty pour of Coffee Whiskey take this cake to the next level.
In a medium saucepan on medium low heat mix the oil, cocoa, coffee, and Original Coffee Whiskey. Whisk in sugar and brown sugar until dissolved, about 5 minutes, then remove from heat and allow mixture to cool completely. Preheat oven to 325ºF and oil a round cake pan. Whisk applesauce and vanilla into batter, then fold in flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips. Pour into prepared pan and bake about 45 minutes. Lightly dust the finished cake with powdered sugar.

1/4 C VEGETABLE OIL

1/2 C COCOA POWDER

1 C STRONG COFFEE

1/3 C FIRST LIGHT ORIGINAL COFFEE WHISKEY

1/2 C SUGAR

1/2 C BROWN SUGAR

1/2 C APPLESAUCE

1 1/2 TSP VANILLA EXTRACT

1 1/3 C FLOUR

1 TSP BAKING SODA

1/2 TSP SALT

1/2 C CHOCOLATE CHIPS

POWDERED SUGAR FOR DUSTING
